Here is the follow up to this post giving instruction for Zazen or seated meditation. This post is instruction for Kinhin or ‘walking meditation’ as done in the Soto Zen Buddhist Tradition.
These instructions follow a brief seated meditation session. The two strikes of the singing bowl you hear on the recording signal the end of a period of Zazen or ‘seated meditation’ and the start of walking meditation.
Next month I will try to post a recording of an entire meditation session so you can perhaps get a better idea of how these two complementary practices fit together.
